It’s a 2-for-1 deal! Take one academic course and get credit for both high school and college. Academically-qualified high school students can take courses such as U.S. History, Government, and English at a cost lower than scheduled tuition. Ask your high school about it.
Save time. Save money. Get a bachelor’s degree just 1-2
years after high school or a master’s degree 3-4 years after
high school. How? Academically-qualified high school students can
enroll in core curriculum courses with credit toward a college
degree through a combination of dual credit courses, advanced placement
courses, and early enrollment. Graduates
realize as much as a 30% savings on tuition and fees.
Bryan ISD’s Collegiate High School places 9th graders on track to get a college degree at the same time they graduate high school. The innovative approach takes place in a special small school setting with a select group of students getting the opportunity to earn both a high school diploma and an associate’s degree within four years. And tuition is free.
The partnership with Blinn College and Texas A&M University offers this unique college preparatory program primarily for students who might otherwise not go to college due to socioeconomic barriers.
These are technical courses offered at the high school that count toward a college certificate or associate in applied science degree in a technical field. Tech-Prep programs are designed to prepare students to continue into a related program of study at a community college or technical institution.
